Medium: Ink + Digital Scanning

This piece is an illustrated surface design pattern, meaning the work is a unit that can be duplicated and repeated on all sides and the pattern will match seamlessly! I had so much fun creating this work and chopping it up to make sure it was infinitely continuous. Each monster in the design is of my own imagination and design. Below is the practice illustration I created to learn the pattern-making method, you can somewhat see the paper cut lines where each quadrant was cut and mirrored.
