This 3D SketchUp model was designed to achieve the goal of “A new Disney On Ice set, based on a classic Disney movie”. The backdrop is a projection that can be changed from morning to sunset. There will also be a path and grass projected onto the ice rink. The skaters are able to smoothly transition in and out of the rink through the temple’s doors.
If I were to go back and revist this model, I would spend more time in detailing the buildings, allowing them to integrate a bit smoother into the set. It would also be nice to see an accurate lighting grid and projection system to show where lights fall on the ice rink!
